SINOPSIS DEL LIBRO
This third edition of the Social Appropriation of Knowledge Conference, titled “Advances in Basic Sciences: Research Contributions from the Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira”, features three book chap- ters derived from the work of research groups within the Faculty of Basic Sciences. In 2024, we are officially celebrating 40 years as a faculty. We re- main committed to research, innovation, and the social appropriation of knowledge through our 22 research groups, which encompass a wide range of research lines in the core fields of basic sciences, such as physics, chemistry, biology, geology, and mathematics. These dis- ciplines form the essential foundation of every investigation and rea- ffirm the lasting influence that the basic sciences have had throughout history in the advancement of science and technology.
